Commission on Disabilities · Meeting of March 2, 2026
BRAINTREE — Commission on Disabilities advances revised snow ordinance. Treasurer Crystal Evans, presenting work from the Community Planning Subcommittee, led the board unanimously to vote forwarding a revised snow ordinance to Mayor Joyce for potential submission to the Town Council Ordinance and Rules Committee, developed in consultation with the Mayor and town attorney. In separate action, the Commission unanimously approved a $500 reallocation from the handicapped parking fund to support meeting minutes preparation through fiscal year end, as the original $1,000 allocation had been exhausted at $830 through February.
The board also reviewed accessibility initiatives including NaviLens wayfinding technology quotes for town hall and the Thayer Public Library, and ongoing door pressure compliance checks at multiple business locations.
