Commission approves permanent stormwater repair at 665 Middle Street

Conservation Commission · Meeting of January 8, 2026

BRAINTREE — Commission approves permanent stormwater repair to address pipe failures at 665 Middle Street. The Conservation Commission unanimously endorsed the Department of Public Works' plan to replace temporary infrastructure with a permanent 24-by-48-inch pipe, resolving a surcharged manhole and pipe failures that prompted emergency certification in November. Conditions require regular inspection, testing, and compliance with municipal stormwater requirements.

The commission also continued the 10 Plain Street development to February 5 pending landscaping and floodplain analysis.
