Braintree Commission on Disabilities advances MBTA bus stop request on Forbes Road. The four-member commission voted unanimously to send a letter to the MBTA and to authorize a subcommittee to draft support letters from stakeholder organizations. ADA Coordinator Kristina Ziniti reported counting 46 accessibility areas at town hall and the library for potential NaviLens technology installation and requested vendor pricing.
Treasurer Crystal Evans pushed for a full replacement quote on the long-malfunctioning wave function handicap paddles at town hall. Members also discussed a snow removal ordinance to address accessibility barriers, with Kelly Ormsby noting major obstructions remain one week after a recent snowstorm.
