BRAINTREE — Park board pursues regional grant funding for infrastructure and conservation work. Chair William Flanagan and Commissioner Frank Collins met with Quincy's Director of Coastal Resiliency and Sustainability Margaret LaForest to explore state and federal grant opportunities for culvert replacements and urban heat reduction. The board unanimously approved attendance of Ranger Nikiciuk and Ranger Krutz at the Canopy 2026 Forestry Forum in March for professional development.

LaForest identified funding opportunities including municipal culvert replacement support and the Cooling Corridors grant program for tree canopy expansion.
