Planning Board approves housing modifications, opens Banner Park review
Planning Board · Meeting of May 12, 2026
Braintree Planning Board approves condo conversion, opens 220-unit residential review. The Board unanimously approved a Minor Modification to convert a planned 31-unit apartment project at 99-107 Hancock Street to condominiums, three designated affordable. In separate action, the Board opened public hearing on an application from Banner Park Campus, LLC to develop a 30.3-acre site at 60 Columbian Street with 220 residential units, dramatically reducing impervious surface and utility demand compared to the previously approved industrial use.
The Board received extensive public comment from abutters expressing support and concerns regarding traffic, visual and noise impacts. The application, along with two other proposed developments, was continued for final review on June 9.
