BRAINTREE — Planning Board approves Thayer Academy field lighting with conditions addressing neighbors' concerns. The 22-acre campus grading permit includes artificial turf replacement and new LED stadium lighting on four poles, with lights restricted to Thayer Academy games, practice lighting capped at 6:00 PM before daylight saving time, and games capped at 10:00 PM. Five other approvals included Dick's Sporting Goods $40 million renovation, Btone Fitness site modification, Hawthorn Preserve land consolidation, River Street Metal Finishing as-built approval with $2,000 surety release, and a three-family dwelling at 35 Hooker Street.
The board approved updated application fees effective July 1, 2026.
