Zoning Board approves continuation of five-unit apartment house

Braintree Zoning Board approves three nonconforming residential determinations. Chair Rayna Rubin and members Jose E. Perez and Angela Cavanaugh unanimously approved a Finding to continue a five-unit apartment house at 391 Elm Street, dating to the 1850s, with the building occupying approximately 5,200 square feet.

The board also unanimously approved Findings for demolition and reconstruction of a single-family dwelling at 236 Old Country Way, with an eight-foot rear extension and a four-foot foundation raise to address water drainage, and for demolition and reconstruction of a deck at 9 Allen Street. The board continued Petition 26-04 for an eight-unit multifamily conversion at 75 Hancock Street to March 23.
