The Zoning Board of Appeals approved a demolition and reconstruction project on a nonconforming lot.
Zoning Board of Appeals · Meeting of September 28, 2026
BRAINTREE — The Zoning Board of Appeals approved a demolition and reconstruction project on a nonconforming lot. The board voted 3-0 to grant a Finding allowing JCBT Architect LLC to demolish and rebuild a single-family dwelling at 62 Fountain Street, where the 10,000-square-foot lot falls short of the required 15,000 square feet. The proposed 3,700-square-foot, two-and-one-half-story dwelling with two-car garage complies with applicable setback and other zoning requirements.
Separately, the board continued a hearing on a wall sign variance at 165 Pearl Street to October 26, 2026; Clerk Angela Cavanaugh raised concerns about sign concentration at the corner, and the applicant agreed to discuss repositioning the sign farther down the same wall.
