Planning Board defers Mento townhome proposal to August 18

BRAINTREE — Planning Board unanimously continues hearing on Mento townhome proposal to August 18. The board voted to continue the public hearing on converting a 1.7-acre commercial property at 1157 Washington Street to ten owner-occupied townhome condominiums, with Planning Board Chair Kimberly Kroha requesting that staff coordinate a stormwater peer review and prepare draft conditions for August 18. Applicant attorney Frank Marinelli presented a project reducing impervious surface by 54 percent and creating 73.6 percent open space, with restoration of a hundred-foot buffer along the Monatiquot River.
The board also approved three routine bond releases for previously completed projects and continued four other applications to August 18.
