Buliga Park hockey rink project moves to design phase, Committee reviews projects

BRAINTREE — Community Preservation Committee reviews project portfolio, advances Buliga Park hockey rink to design. Director Peter Matchak reported that officials selected Concept 2 for the Nathan Buliga Park facility, which includes a single rink, parking, and accessible features, with design completion targeted for late summer and construction planned for spring 2027. The Fire Station rehabilitation project is out to bid with approximately 12 contractors seeking bids and includes a 2.5 million dollar federal earmark secured by Congressman Lynch, targeted for fall completion.
Independence Manor withdrew its window replacement project, returning 1.4 million dollars to the Community Preservation Act fund.
