Commission continues hearing on Hancock Street apartment project

BRAINTREE — Conservation Commission continues apartment project hearing pending bridge redesign. The commission heard from Mark Arnold representing Braintree Apartment Ventures LLC regarding the proposed development at 0 Hancock Street and 10 Plain Street. Vice Chair Heather Charles Lis and Member Hung Pham required the applicant to submit a redesigned bridge plan showing compliance with state stream-crossing standards before the hearing can close.
The commission also imposed conditions restricting salt use in the riparian area, limiting brush cutting to twice yearly, requiring no-phosphorus fertilizers, and mandating written permission from the conservation agent before any chemical treatment of invasive species. The hearing will resume March 5, 2026.
