Conservation Commission approves Hancock Street development with conditions

Braintree Conservation Commission unanimously approves Hancock Street apartment development with substantial conditions. The board issued an Order of Conditions for Braintree Apartment Ventures' development at Hancock and Plain Streets, requiring a $7,500 bond and a $30,000 riverwalk maintenance fund; the applicant must also commit to spring and fall cleanups and forgo sodium chloride use on the site. The Commission also unanimously issued a negative determination for Department of Public Works drain maintenance at 433 Plain Street, with conditions, and extended Orders of Conditions for Smith Beach (DEP file #8-707) and Sunset Lake treatment projects for three additional years.
