Conservation Commission approves Allen Street Reconstruction project

Conservation Commission · Meeting of May 7, 2026

Braintree Conservation Commission approves Allen Street Reconstruction with environmental conditions. The Commission voted unanimously Thursday to approve the Notice of Intent for the town Department of Public Works project, which will convert Allen Street to one-way traffic while improving pedestrian and ADA access. Designed by Pare engineers Lauren Gluck and Chris Longenbaker and administered by Mass DOT, the project is 75 percent complete and will remove 18 trees; the Commission imposed conditions on native-seed plantings, northeast corner green space, and catch-basin hoods.

The Commission also approved Abbreviated Notices of Resource Area Delineation for properties at 2 and 20 Garden Park.
